Over the second week, more than 247,000 physical copies of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been sold in Japan
In the first three days of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, more than 10 million copies were sold around the world, and in certain regions it also enjoyed similar popularity. Last week, the game headed the weekly Japanese charts of physical sales, selling more than 1.1 million copies. Famitsu has released the last weekly charts, and the game still takes first place, selling more than 247,000 physical units in the second week.
Interestingly, all games in the first ten are games for Nintendo Switch, which is not a rarity in Japan. The excitement around Tears of the Kingdom, in fact, continued to be transmitted to its predecessor Breath of the Wild, which is in third place with more than 7,000 units sold. Meanwhile, the top ten also included Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Minecraft and other games.
As for the hardware, the Nintendo Switch still remains the most sold by the console of the week, dumping out of a circulation of more than 86,000 units. PS5 follows by a large margin, selling more than 37,000 units per week.
